TTouch

2009 was certainly the year of TTouch, short for Tellington Touch. I took my first" taster" course in March at Tilley Farm near Bath in Somerset and straight away decided that this was something worth learning. The in July I took the second course at Ice Farm near Vernon, British Columbia in Canada and also took the opportunity to visit Alan and Megan in Vancouver on the way there. The third course in October was at Tilley Farm again and I presented my first five case studies. Now I am half-way through the training. With a little bit of luck I hope to finish my basic training in 2010!

TTouch is a method aimed at modifying behaviour through achieving balance. I am taking the course for companion animals but there are also courses specifically for horses and others for humans. It is by no means a "quick fix"but with perseverance the results are certainly quite remarkable.
The method rests on three main pillars: bodywork, groundwork and the use of wraps. The combination is most effective, teaching focus and enhancing proprioception.
